Sore Fingers.

Haven't posted for a while but I've been very busy, honest. Here's some of the stock waiting to go to Bristol, Falmouth and Chester. I'll be posting more pictures of some of the other things I've been making soon. My poor fingers are very sore but I just can't get used to wearing a thimble. It makes me feel "cack handed".

From left to right - New limited edition Arctic Bunko, various Kaijus including some mustachioed versions and Professor Skeffington.

The Burgerman toys from the previous post have been bought by Nasty Vinyl in Camden. I think they'll be going in the window there. Let me know if you see them.

My boys, my boys...

Well, not strictly my boys I was more a surrogate mum for Mr JB. I was so proud to see them welcoming all the visitors to Jon's solo show "Because I Can't Sit Still" at the Coningsby Gallery, Tottenham Street, London. Had a great night catching up with lots of friends. The show's until November 1st so if you haven't already been get down there and tell the boys Mummy was asking after them.

Introducing Professor Skeffington.

New plush character designed by Jonathan.. Professor Skeffington is a professor in Nautical Activities and an avid connoisseur of Aquatic Jazz (Thelonius Monkfish, Eric Dolphin, etc). Available to buy on Jonathan's website shop.

Luke, Sprouthead, Tickler.

Individual pics of the characters from the last post along with the original Burgerman sketch. I had these guys in my house in various stages for the last few months and now they're gone I'm kinda missing them. I just worry that Jon's letting them stay up too late and feeding them too many "e" numbers.

Mr Burgerman - what a nice man.

I've just finished and delivered three characters (and accessories) to Mr Jon Burgerman. The were a joy to make and can be seen at his solo show, "Because I Can't Sit Still", at the Coningsby Gallery, 30 Tottenham Street, London from the 21st Oct till the 1st November. The opening is on the Tuesday. Why not come along and meet Sprouthead, Luke and Tickler. I'll be posting more pictures soon.

First in a series of Burlesque outfits. Metal spiral boned corset in silk and lace with tie-side frilly knickers and net bustle. Topped off with lace and silk skullcap with black feather and merry widow veiling bow. There are "pasties" to match! Now all I need is a model. Any offers?

My day job...

When I'm not making fully clothed monster politicians or felt characters I have a day job designing and making bespoke silk wedding dresses under the name Beatrice Eve. A few months ago I did a fashion shoot with Agan Photography in the beautiful Thornton Manor. Here's a few of the photos. More can be seen on my Flickr site. Many thanks to the models - Angi, Sarah C, Sarah M and Simone.

Groyle Romps Home!

And the winner is... Leonard Groyle by a landslide (which, incidentally, is what his cousin causes over in British Columbia). Second was Scruntin and coming third was Lady Grunk. When asked about his success Groyle told the press "feug aiufeiyf figeff geyfgf y qifahcdkjaf if aefheufaf cksjac afuiahf!!!!!!!!!!!!". He's a "man" of few words.

Thanks everybody for voting.

Yay! I'm on Drawn!

When I went on Flickr this morning I discovered I had quite a few nice, new contacts. I then discovered I'd been featured on Drawn! thanks to Mr Will Kane. I've not posted many pictures lately, this is because I can't post what I'm working on at the moment as it's a collaboration with another artist (sorry Jonathan, I've been unfaithful!).

I've posted an old photo of a felt Hellboy I made as a birthday present for the aforementioned Will Kane about seven years ago.

Thanks again, Will. All we need now is an exhibition so any galleries out there interested just "holla back" (please! Don't make me beg).

Candidate Number 2

Another candidate for the Behemoth-On-Sea By Elections. It's really hard making a bespoke suit for a beast with no neck or shoulder line!

Monster Politician

First of the candidates for the Behemoth-on-sea elections based on a sketch by the lovely Mr E. Got a bit carried away with the clothes. His trousers have a proper fly and his jacket has working pockets. As a child I hated dolls whose clothes couldn't be removed because they were either glued or sewn on so all his clothes have proper fastenings too. Jonathan made me stop as I was about to make him some y-fronts (although I may still make them). I'm working on the next candidate now.

"Finally, it's happened to me!" - Ce Ce Peniston

I've finally got round to setting up a blog. It's probably going to be mostly pictures as even though I'm never short for words I can't type as quick as I talk. Most of the time the lovely Mr Edwards will be loading up the images. So here goes....
